Perforated trays from 50 to 300 mm wide were load tested to failure at Chakan Testing and Research Lab, Pune (ISO/IEC 17025:2017, NABL TC-8638) in October 2024 with deflection recorded at every step, together with zinc coating thickness and uniformity, adhesion, salt spray, tensile, chemical and bend tests on the same samples; every tested section exceeds NEMA VE 1 class 8C working load at a 1.5 safety factor and stays within the IEC 61537 deflection limit. Process areas in Genome Valley, Jeedimetla, Pashamylaram and Achutapuram specify SS 304L for general GMP areas and SS 316L where chlorides or solvents are present, with a 2B mill finish or pickled and passivated after fabrication so there is no carbon-steel contamination and no crevice at welds. Utility blocks, pipe racks and outdoor runs take hot-dip galvanised steel. Pioneer manufactures all three and issues material certificates per lot stating the grade.
Pirangut to Hyderabad is about 560 km by NH 65, an overnight run: standard GI, hot-dip galvanised and stock stainless sizes confirmed by afternoon are on site the next working day. Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Sri City are two to three days by scheduled truck. Made-to-order sizes and non-stock stainless take two to three weeks plus transit.
The data centre parks at Shamshabad, Chandanvelly and around Kokapet and Gachibowli are largely hyperscale or US-owned and specified in the US format — NEC 392, NEMA VE 1 classes, UL classification — with wire mesh in the halls and aluminium or hot-dip galvanised ladder on main runs.
